Apricot and Lavender Cream Cleanser

Use 1-2 pumps and massage in circular motions evenly over damp skin to remove dirt, oil and makeup. Rinse completely, towel dry and follow with toner, serum and moisturizer. We recommend Tamarind Seed and Rose hydrating toning mist, Amaranth Seed and Rosehip facial serum and Lavender and Cocoa daily moisturizer

 

Distilled water, decyl glucoside (plant-derived foaming agent), apricot kernel oil, castor oil, xyliance (natural emulsifier), vegetable glycerin, vitamin e, optiphen plus (preservative), lavender essential oil, xanthan gum

 

DISTILLED WATER:

Did you know that water is actually the ingredient that hydrates your skin more than anything else? Oils have many different essential qualities and will seal in the moisture, but it is water that is needed to hydrate the skin.

DECYL GLUCOSIDE:

Decyl glucoside is a plant-derived foaming agent obtained from plant based fatty alcohols (coconut) and glucose (sugar). It is ECOCERT certified through Natural Products Association and is very mild and gentle, making it a great choice for dry skin.

APRICOT KERNEL OIL:

Apricot kernel oil is very nourishing, softening, and soothing. It is slowly absorbed, making it a great choice for a cleanser as it won't clog your pores, but instead attracts other elements such as dirt and oil to be washed away.

CASTOR OIL:

Castor oil is a cold pressed oil extracted from the bean produced by the castor (Ricinus communis) plant. It is a thick oil that acts as a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin. It is not easily absorbed and attracts dirt, making it a great choice for a gentle cream cleanser.

XYLIANCE:

Did you know that any lotion or cream is a blend of oil and water called an emulsion? In order for oil and water to come together without separating, we need to add an emulsifier, which blend the oil phase and water phase together. Xyliance is an emulsifying wax made of 100% plant origin where the sugar is derived from wheat straw and the fatty alcohols are derived from rapeseed and palm.

VEGETABLE GLYCERIN:

Glycerin is a humectant, which means it attracts water to the skin and binds it there. I choose glycerin that is vegetable derived.

OPTIPHEN PLUS:

Did you know that any product containing water needs a preservative? Otherwise, you are left with a product contaminated with mold, yeast, and bacteria (even if you can't see it)! I choose the most natural and decadent ingredients to nourish your skin. Those precious ingredients need to be properly preserved to work their absolute best. Optiphen Plus is a globally approved preservative and is Formaldehyde-free, Paraben-free, Halogen-free and Non-Isothiazolinone.

VITAMIN E:

Did you know that any product containing oils needs an antioxidant to prevent oxidation? This means the product will go rancid. I choose Vitamin E as an antioxidant because it has nourishing properties and will help protect your skin from damage caused by free radicals.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL:

Lavender essential oil has an abundance of healing properties. It is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, promotes skin cell growth, heals cuts, burns, scars rashes, and much more. I choose lavender for its relaxing, soothing and uplifting aroma.

XANTHAN GUM:

Xanthan gum is a plant-based thickening and stabilizing agent. Technically, xanthan gum is a polysaccharide, (a string of multiple sugars). To create xanthan gum, the Xanthomonas campestris (bacteria) is allowed to ferment on a sugar, resulting in a gel that is then dried and milled to create the powder substance that we use to thicken many things from certain foods to skin care products.

Cleansers are essential to your skin care regimen. They remove dirt, oil, makeup, and the elements from everything around us: dust, pollen, pollution, etc. Cleansers also allow all of our other products to work better because as they clean the skin, your pores are also softened, therefore allowing all of your essential ingredients to penetrate that much better. Cream cleansers are phenomenal for people with dryness as they won't strip the surface of your skin or leave you feeling dry or dehydrated.
